For the prevention of equine abortion induced by Salmonella abortus-equi infection in horses.

【DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION】

For gluteal intramuscular injection. Suitable for pregnant mares over 1 month post-conception, as well as non-pregnant mares and stallions. Reconstitute the vaccine with 20% aluminum hydroxide gel normal saline or conventional normal saline to a final volume of 1.0 mL per dose as specified on the vial label. Administer 1 dose (1.0 mL) per horse each time. Vaccinate twice annually with an interval of approximately 4 months. For pregnant mares, one vaccination is recommended between September and October of the current year, and a second vaccination between January and February of the following year.

Advantages & Highlights

  1. Exclusive C355 strain for targeted prevention of equine salmonella abortion: Adopts exclusive standard C355 strain of Salmonella abortus-equi with stable mild virulence and strong immunogenicity. It specially targets equine salmonellosis, effectively solving breeding problems such as mare abortion and stillbirth, serving as a core dedicated vaccine for horse farm reproductive disease prevention.

  2. Ultra-high viable bacteria load delivers strong and solid protection: Each dose contains viable bacteria ≥1.0×10CFU, far exceeding industry basic standards. The ultra-high-activity viable bacteria rapidly activate equine specific immunity, induce high-level antibodies and effectively reduce the abortion rate caused by wild Salmonella infection.

  3. Full-equine population coverage for whole breeding cycle protection: Suitable for pregnant mares (more than 1 month after conception), non-pregnant mares and stallions. It eliminates carrier infection and recurrent abortion risks, and stably guarantees the overall breeding performance of horse farms.

  4. Scientific annual immune procedure achieves year-round stable protection: Twice vaccination a year with a 4-month interval fits the seasonal high-incidence window of equine salmonellosis. It maintains stable antibody levels throughout the year and avoids seasonal abortion risks without immune gaps.

  5. Scientific annual immune procedure achieves year-round stable protection: Twice vaccination a year with a 4-month interval fits the seasonal high-incidence window of equine salmonellosis. It maintains stable antibody levels throughout the year and avoids seasonal abortion risks without immune gaps.

  6. High-quality freeze-dried formulation for rapid and uniform dissolution: The loose porous mass separates easily from the bottle wall and dissolves rapidly and completely without caking or precipitation, ensuring accurate immune dosage and uniform antibody level for all horses.

  7.  Conventional cold chain storage with low cost and high practicability: Stored at conventional 2~8℃ refrigeration without freezing requirement, with high storage tolerance and 12-month shelf life. It features low vaccine loss and flexible inventory for daily horse farm reserve.

  8. Targeted specifications adapt to various horse farm scales: Two mainstream specifications fit centralized batch immunization of small, medium and large-scale horse breeding farms with zero usage waste and high cost performance.

FAQ

Q: What type of vaccine is this? What diseases does it prevent?

A: This is a live Salmonella abortus-equi vaccine (Strain C355), a non-prescription veterinary drug, specially used to prevent equine abortion caused by Salmonella abortus-equi infection, serving as a core dedicated vaccine for horse farm breeding protection.

Q: What are the applicable horses, vaccination method and dosage?

A: Applicable to pregnant mares (over 1 month after conception), non-pregnant mares and stallions. Administer via gluteal intramuscular injection at a unified dosage of 1 dose (1.0ml) per horse after dilution.

Q: What is the standard immune procedure of the vaccine?

A: Vaccinate twice a year with a 4-month interval. The optimal vaccination time for pregnant mares is September–October of the current year and January–February of the next year, avoiding seasonal high-incidence periods for full-year protection.

Q: What is the time limit for diluted vaccine?

A: Dilute the vaccine immediately before use and store the diluted vaccine in a cool environment. Use up completely within 4 hours to avoid viable bacteria attenuation and immune failure.

Q: What basic operation specifications are required for vaccination?

A: Strictly disinfect injection sites and appliances before vaccination with standardized aseptic operation. Only healthy horses are eligible for vaccination to ensure immune safety and efficacy.

Q: What are the specifications, storage conditions and shelf life?

A: Two specifications (10/20 doses per bottle) are available. Store at 2~8℃ away from light with a 12-month shelf life, suitable for daily reserve and batch vaccination of various horse farms.
